This Tefen metric agricultural 90-degree elbow is made of black polypropylene and has a non-sharp barbed connection on one end and a male BSPT threaded connection on the other to connect a tube or a hose to a female BSPT threaded connection at an angle. The barbed connection creates a tight seal on a tube or hose, and the male British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) threaded end connects with a female BSPT threaded connection, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting has an integral hex nut for tightening the fitting by using a wrench. This elbow is made of polypropylene for dimensional stability, resistance to most chemicals, and ability to withstand sterilization. The maximum operating pressure for this fitting is 200 pounds per square inch (psi) (14 bar) at 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) in a temperature range of 40 to 195 degrees F (4 to 90 degrees C), subject to application.
