Means the hose can handle hot. and cold fluids, explosion proof,totally a heavy duty shower. hose. in every way.Will last a long time- years! Originally I bought a Home Depot shower hose --lasted 2 years , then leaked in 3 places at once.This hose is much much better. quality. One end is for the shower head 1/2 inch connecting .female. fitting . OTHER end. is for a male 1/2 shower pipe with a collar connecting nut..female end on this part so the male plumbing pipe connects easily.In other words it fits your shower pipe that sticks out.Use 2 layers of teflon tape on the. threaded ends to stop leaks. More tape layers is not wise.Hose came well wrapped with top of the line plastic protectors on hose ends.Folinus did a. spectatular presentation. !!!!!!
