i needed a new short hose to connect my hose reel to the faucet. It is necessary for the hose to make bends at each end to properly align the connection. The old hose actually cracked through the threads at the reel connection. The plastic fitting on the reel was fine. The threaded hose end was one of those with threads rolled onto a thin metal tube. The metal threads actually cracked and leaked due to the bend. This hose has reinforcements at the end that will prevent it from bending too tightly. In addition, the threaded ends appear to be machined casting. At least they are something much stronger than the old hose. Delivered quickly, easy install and a much better hose. I also replaced the fitting on the hose reel since they would likely be the next part to fail with this stronger hose.
