A hose will only transport as much water as the smallest inner diameter allows. In my profession, moving the amount of water I need to quickly is important, which is why I need a 3/4" hose. But the end fittings are too small. The inner diameter measurement of the end fittings is 0.6", which is less than 5/8". If I want a 5/8" hose, I can pick up 100' at my local hardware store for $50. But, if you're in the market for an overpriced, slightly smaller than 5/8" hose, this one will work just fine.
