I had bought a Shark vacuum cleaner about 4 years ago and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why it wasn't picking up anything off the carpet. Well, I had a split in the bottom hose, so I found one off of Amazon, it was simple to install just click it in and your in business! Wow, it felt like I had a new vacuum cleaner. I was hesitant on buying it because it didn't list the model of my vacuum cleaner, but I had read another review that said it fit the same kind that I had, so I went with it. Glad I bought the hose and not another two hundred dollar vacuum. I will buy this again if I get another split in the hose, I recommend this product! We love our Shark vacuum, but one of the hoses cracked. A duct tape repair lasted a while, but this replacement hose is identical to the original, cheap, effortless to install, and the perfect replacement.I did not even realize the original hose was split until my son clogged the vacuum with stuffing from a dog toy. Now I know it was that way for some time since after replacing the hose my vacuum is sucking much better....duh.Anyway, it's a well made replacement hose that took all of 20 second to replace. Fair price, well made, fit perfectly...not much else you can say about it. Should last as long as the original...however long that was.Great experience purchasing from this seller. Fit perfectly, was reasonably priced and received promptlyJust what was needed to replace a broken one. Torn on end nearest rotator head. So we are not easy on our NV350 and more rough treatment than some households probably. No doubt attributed to the orignal one failing. But replaced with this and it's now as good as new. Unless you notice the scratches over the years of hard use overall. Happy customer and would recommend if yours needs replacing too. Not all second dealer products work well. I have yet to find a charcoal filter that matches the original or even is charcoal. Lucky for me I've kept the original foam one and just use swiffer like sheets cut to fit to filter the outter side and it works great. Replace every 4 to 6 uses with new cut to fit piece over the black foam. I wash the black foam 3 to 4 times a year too. Every according style replacement filter tried falls out. They do not stay in the machine. That is using their replacment casing too. So happy I kept the original until we had given the new one a trial or two or five. And again I tried and again the next one by another seller still fell out. So the orignal stays in the new ones are not made to have the fiber filter removed so could not tear it out and apply to the original case that stays put. But washing the original black foam filter and cutting out prefilters from swiffer sheets or similar dusting sheets works just like the new one. If the white cut outs show grey to black it is time to replace them. If you skip it once too often you will notice the machine is not working as well at picking up and seems to over heat a bit too. SO we make a pile of white cut out prefilters which are easy to replace and just keep going. Sharp makes the best vacuums these days. Makes all others shameful especially Dyson..and YES I own one...and plan to give it away at a garage sale this summer but if no one wants it I'll take it to the good will. So need to weed out the old vacuum cleaners. I would like to have a sharp on each floor. We have three stories and a 12 foot deep basement. So far one is handling the whole house. But I'm looking at a new one...and you can find good used ones on Ebay so maybe for the basement and for the attic too a used one would be handy to leave those places. Meantime one is doing it all and we have long haired cats. This was cheaper than other brands I saw. I actually ordered a different brand before I found this one & it didn't fit properly. I had to send it back. I found this one, that is Shark brand and costs less than the one I previously ordered. This fit better & my vacuum works better than it has in quite a while. We'll see how long this replacement lasts, as this isn't greatest designed vacuum. This is the second one that I bought. The first one lasted two years and I was happy with that. The original hose on the vacuum only lasted six months. This one fits tighter and is made of a heavier gauge vinyl for the hose and stands up better to cabinet and furniture edges when you vacuum under therm. The original replacement part is not available, but this part can be adapted to fit Shark Navigator Model NV22L with some work.1) remove bottom part of hose from rotary brush assembly by pulling up on the slip attachment.2) You can give yourself more working room by detaching the rotary brush assembly. Just depress the button on the back of the vacuum behind the rotary brush assembly and it pops off.3) remove the top part of the hose, which isactually rotated in like a screw. This will be difficult to "unscrew". Instead, cut the old hose in half, grab the metal coil with a vice grip attached tightly and pull the metal coil out of the upper housing. Cut the vinyl part of the hose as you proceed to make it easier to uncoil the metal. 4) Take the new hose and remove the upper plastic clip-on section. This is a piece that is not part of the NV 22L model lower hose. Do not remove the lower slip-on section! Remove the upper clip-on section by carefully snipping and breaking it off. Go slow, don't pierce the vinyl hose!5) Once the plastic clip-on section is removed, you'll have the intact hose and the lower slip-on section remaining. Perfect! Screw the top part of the hose into the upper housing. This is a left-handed oriented coil, so screw to the left ( counter-clockwise) to install it. Turn until it stops. Give it a gentle tug. It should hold firmly. 6) Reattach the rotary brush assembly if you detached it. Slip the lower part of the hose onto the rotaty brush assembly. 7) Success! Who needs exact replacement parts?Fit my shark vacuum perfectly and the price was more than fair - certainly way cheaper than a new unit. (Hint: I would have bought another Navigator!!!)Thank you for shipping the part quickly!Works and fits like original partI have not used it yet but it is an exact OEM replacement part so it should work fine.I found out that it's not the good part but when I was about to return it I learnt that it isn't returnable.Exactly what I was looking for part fit just right and vacuum is up and running once again
